We have had the most amazing summer I can remember in the lower mainland. I love it when the temperature is perfect and I can leave the door open all day, every day!
When we moved to the coast I noticed that here it’s a perfect day when the sun is shining, no matter what time of year or what the temperature. I’m from Manitoba and when the weather is warm, it’s a good day.
When we owned a tea room I would comment to customers on the weather, but invariably, if the sun was shining, it was a good day. If I found it chilly, others would still think it was a great day, because it was sunny.
I am reminded of a customer, who, whenever we wished him a nice day, would respond, “I’ve never had a bad day yet.” For him it didn’t matter if the sun was shining or if it was rainy and cold. He was determined to have a good day anyway. I imagine he had sunshine in his soul.
